There's a certain, unfinished 200 page lore book from the time, offering a glimpse at pandemic life. Today, the Minecraft world is a high-availability, persistent survival Minecraft server built to serve as a reliable digital space for players. While most gaming communities suffer from a "two-week phase" where the spark dies and the server eventually shuts down, this project provides a stable, "forever world" that works with the natural craziness of student and adult life. Whether players disappear for months to focus on finals or step away to handle new jobs as alumni, their builds, progress, and memories remain safe exactly as they left them. Over the year, this world has welcomed over 1,100 unique players, who have built everything from cherry forest communities to solo megabases so massive they remain visible when fully zoomed out on the world map. While the famous community project is a 100% survival mode, block-by-block recreation of the University grounds, the server isn't just for UT students. Architectural marvels dominate the landscape, defined by monumental feats of coordination and individual ambition. In the industrial sectors, massive projects like Cchipotlee's quarry excavation utilize complex TNT world eaters to clear vast swaths of terrain for future megabuilds. Meanwhile, the architectural history of the server remains anchored by its early monuments, such as the grand Attack on Titan-styled wall built near the original spawn point by players DerexXD and Flitzerax, as well as a highly complex unethical iron farm shielded behind towering iron block walls. Solo megabases are built on such a gargantuan scale that they remain entirely visible even when zoomed completely out on the server’s global map. The server functions as a living monument to continuous community development, purposefully engineered to combat the typical "two-week phase" that dooms most private gaming spaces. Even as players vanish for months at a time to survive final exam seasons or adapt to new corporate careers, the world remains perfectly preserved. In MCLabs, you choose to be a CHEMIST or a COP. Chemists grow crops to turn them into illegal CHEMS and COMPOUNDS to sell. Cops try to arrest chemists and take the chems for themselves. Use money from selling chems to rank up, earning new perks and abilities to build your chem empire towards Chem Lord status, or to ascend the police ranks towards Operator status.
